PERSONAL HYGIENE AND CLEANLINESS OF DRESS

  • Hz. Jabir (RA) narrates: “The Apostle of Allah (PBUH) saw a dishevelled man whose hair was disordered. He said: Could this man not find something to make his hair tidy? He saw another man wearing dirty clothes and said: Could this man not find something to wash his garments with.” (Abu Dawud)
  • Anas Ibn Malik (RA) narrates: “A man who had a yellowish stain on his garment came to the Apostle of God (PBUH). The Apostle of God (PBUH) remained silent because he did not like to say something which he did not like directly to the face of someone. When the man went away: He said, “I wish you had told that man to wash that stain on his garment” (Abu Dawud) 

HAND AND FOOT CLEANING

  • If a person does not wash between his fingers well enough, they will be washed with fire by God on the Day of Judgment. (Tabarani)
  • A person who goes to bed with a smell of meat on his hand should not blame anyone other than himself if he catches an illness. (Tirmidhi)

BEWARE OF URINE SPLASH

  • Clean yourself from urine well because most of the grave torment is due to urine. (Daraqutni)

HOME AND STREET CLEANING

  • Almighty Allah is flawless in all aspects and He likes pureness in manners and sayings. He is clean and loves cleanliness. He is kind and likes kindness. Then, clean your yards and do not be like Jews. (Tirmidhi)

THE TASK OF RIGHT AND LEFT HANDS

  • Hz. Aisha narrates: “The right hand of the Apostle of God (PBUH) was for his drink, food; his left hand was for cleaning private parts and other things that cause defilement. (Abu Davud)
